Welcome to the Home of the Vienna Stars
Continually striving for excellence!

Congratulations 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u for their finishes in PW Fall Challenge!

Fall season is underway and the Vienna Stars shine bright at the
NSA Prince William Fall Challenge!

The 10u team finished 4 - 1 with a runner up finish to kick off their tournament season. This was the 10's first tournament of the season and came out on Saturday to capture the number 1 seed going 3 - 0. For many players on the team, this was their first tournament experience. Great job 10's!

The 12U '95 Stars had a wonderful weekend at the PW Fall Challenge finishing second with an overall record of 4 and 2. We have played in the championship game in each of the three tournaments this Fall. Each member of the team contributed in a big way. We pitched all five ladies, played 3 catchers and everyone had a hit. Everyone established themselves as a dangerous hitter. The '95 Stars continued improvement is really impressive. Congratulations ladies!

The 14u Vienna Stars '93 finished 1st out of 16 teams to capture the Championship at this year's PW Fall Challenge capturing their berth to the 2008 NSA World Series! Outscoring their opponents 53 - 9 with 5 homeruns, 2 triples, 8 doubles and 52 singles for a team batting average of .410 for the weekend. The 93's also had stellar defense and strong pitching all weekend that included a no-hitter, and 2 shut out games.
Great job '93 Stars !!!!

The 16U Vienna Stars captured their 2nd 18U tournament title this past week-end at the PW Fall Challenge and earned a berth to the 2008 NSA 18U World Series!  The team entered Sunday elimination play as the 2nd seed from their bracket after recording two wins and one loss on Saturday.  On Sunday the team beat the 3rd seed 18U Tsuami moving on the beat the 1 seed Crushers. With only seconds to spare in the bottom of the 6th inning the Stars were able to record the 3rd out of the inning to move on to another inning as the Stars were down by one run.  In the top of the seventh inning the Stars went ahead by two runs and were able to hold the Crushers to no runs in the bottom of the inning to secure the win to move on to the championship game.
