THE STARS HAVE A GREAT FALL SEASON
The 18U Gold Stars had a good fall season with a .780 winning percentage (28-6-5).  The team not only participated in local college showcase tournament in Maryland and Virginia, but travel to New Jersey, South Carolina, Florida, and Texas to participate in the country’s top showcase tournaments.  Over 200 college coaches attend the 18U Stars Gold team’s games at these tournaments; most specifically attended to see Star players.  The picture to the left shows the Stars at the beach in FT Lauderdale.

VIENNA STARS 18U GOLD WINS LOUDOUN FALL OPEN

The new look 2009-2010 Vienna Stars 18U Gold went undefeated during their first warm-up tournament for the Fall season.  The Stars outscored their opponents 65 to 10 runs and out hit them 66 to 22 hits.

VIENNA STARS ADDS SEVEN PLAYERS TO THE ROSTER

The Stars added seven players to the 2009-2010 18U Gold roster; Megan Avakian, Sam Brady, Sam Perry-Shifflett, Abby Carpenter, Megan Perry-Shifflett, Albert Grasmeder, and Devon Hileman.

Team Colorado

Louisville Slugger 2009 Independence Day Tournament

Team Stars flew out to Boulder, CO to compete against some of the country's best GOLD level teams. The Stars performed well winning their first elimination game before the tournament was cancelled by weather. The Stars recorded over 30 college coaches that stopped by to evaluate our players. In between games, the players took in several local Colorado adventures.

Team NJ

TEAM NEW JERSEY 2009 SUMMER CLASSIC

After a less than desirable start to the season, Team Stars conquered Team NJ by going undefeated in eight games in Edison, NJ in late June 2009. During this college showcase event, three of the team players participated in the National Recruiting Combine.

SPARQ

 

RISING STARS 2009 WINTER/SPARQ TESTING - The Vienna Stars 18U Gold team took a second trip to Florida for the Winter Rising Stars tournament on January 2nd and 3rd.   The team went 4-2 and was able to squeeze in a team SPARQs test during the hectic two days.  The team participated in four softball related tests during SPARQ Testing.  After testing over 160 athletes, ESPN.com reports that six of the Vienna Stars Gold team were recorded as the top ten athletes in the Rotational Power Throw, Vertical Jump, and the Shuttle Run. Julia Kastner ranks amongst the top ten in Overall SPARQ Testing.
Little Italy  La Mela

2008 FALL SEASON - The new look Vienna Stars 18U Gold earned a 2008 Fall season record of 18-6-3.  The team participated in six tournaments, including five showcase tournaments with trips to Edison, NJ and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. During the Team New Jersey trip, the team spent half of the day in New York City looking for bargains in China Town and finishing off with a delicious dinner in Little Italy.  This picture to the left shows the team just after dinner at La Mela.
